The information that I request will be retained on your device and is not collected by me in any way.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Alfa22 Shake it (“the app”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Service Description

Alfa22 Shake it is a personal safety application that provides emergency alert features, including:
• Shake-triggered alerts
• SMS and email notifications
• Audio recording (up to 30 seconds)
• Image capture using front and back cameras
• Optional live location tracking via a secure link
• Optional voice-triggered emergency activation (Audio SOS)

• Optional Volume UP - Button presses emergency trigger

3. Subscription & Billing

• Subscription fee: R30 per month per device – can change without prior notice

• Billing is month-to-month
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled through your Google Play account before the next billing date
• Features may be limited if the subscription expires
• A 24-hour grace period may be provided
• After expiry, limited functionality (such as basic SMS alerts) may remain available

4. No Guarantee of Service

We do not guarantee:
• Delivery of SMS or email alerts
• Continuous or uninterrupted operation
• Accuracy or availability of live location tracking

Service performance depends on factors outside our control, including:
• Network availability
• Device condition
• Battery level
• System permissions

5. Not an Emergency Service

Alfa22 Shake it:
• Is not a replacement for emergency services
• Does not contact police, medical services, or security providers
• Should not be solely relied upon in life-threatening situations

6. Live Location Tracking

• Tracking is enabled via a secure link generated by the app
• Anyone with access to this link can view the user’s location during the active period
• Tracking automatically expires after the selected duration
• We are not responsible for misuse of shared tracking links

7. Audio SOS Feature (Voice Activation)

The app may include an optional Audio SOS feature that listens for a user-defined emergency phrase.
• This feature is disabled by default and must be manually enabled
• Voice detection is processed locally on the device
• No continuous audio is recorded or stored
• Audio recording and alerting occur only after the trigger is activated

By enabling this feature, you consent to microphone use for real-time voice detection.

  

7.2 Volume UP key press SOS Feature (Manual Trigger)

The app may include an optional SOS feature that listens for a user Volume UP buttons pressed 6x to 10 times

• This feature is disabled by default and must be manually enabled
• Alerting occur only after the trigger is activated

By enabling this feature, you consent to allow device to listen for volume UP presses to activate SOS service.

 

8. User Responsibilities

You agree to:
• Use the app in compliance with applicable laws, including the Protection of Personal Information Act
• Only share tracking links with trusted contacts
• Ensure your device is properly configured, powered, and connected
• Maintain required permissions for app functionality
• Use the Audio SOS feature responsibly

You are responsible for any alerts triggered by the app, including those caused by accidental or unintended voice activation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alfa22 Shake it and its developers are not liable for:
• Failure or delay of alerts or tracking
• Inaccurate or unavailable location data
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the app

Use of the app is at your own risk.

10. Changes to Service

We may modify, update, or discontinue any part of the app or its features at any time without prior notice.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the app if these Terms are violated or if misuse is detected.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
